Prestige Letting is owned and run by Jeff Travis, who has lived in Reigate for the past 30 years. Jeff's first involvement with domestic property was at age 22 when his insurance company employer asked him to buy and furnish a house for an executive from overseas. Over the years, Jeff has been homeowner, landlord and tenant in various properties in various locations.

We especially welcome Landlords in the 'over-50,s' category who appreciate a business relationship with their own generation. We will adapt our services to meet your needs, so please feel free to call for an informal confidential chat. 

Please note all our fees are currently VAT free......an additional saving of 17.5 % 

Tenant Find & Let Service 

Option 1: We provide a free market appraisal which includes advice on property preparation for letting and likely rental value.    We market your property utilising the local newspaper, extensive internet, newsagents, flyers, companies and relocation agents who have many people who wish to live in our part of Surrey. We contact our database of applicants awaiting accomodation.

We conduct viewings and full pre-Tenancy checks including references and credit check, and once approved, prepare the inventory and Tenancy Agreement and all accompanying paperwork. We assist Landlords with gas, electricity and other inspections and preparations for tenancy and obtain the security deposit and first month's rent, and arrange for future rent to be paid into Landlords' bank accounts.

Commission is 8% of the gross rental income for up to a maximum of 12 months (minimum £300) deducted from the first month's rent. 

Option 2:  As above plus the addition of Rent Guarantee & Legal Protection that will pay the rent and legal costs if a tenant is in breach of the lease. This important additional benefit gives peace of mind because despite the most careful tenancy assessment a problem may arise. For option 2 the commission is 10%.

Six month renewals, following six month tenancies, are at 8% and 10% respectively.

Renewals after 12 months are charged at 4% and 6% respectively.

Tenant Find & Let plus Rent Collection  

In addition to the above services we will collect the rent at the beginning of each month.The rent received will be paid into Landlords' bank accounts on the 15th of each month. If a tenant fails to pay on time we take immediate action and also inform the Landlord. If legal intervention is required we will inform you so that you can instruct your solicitor.  

Commission is 10.5% (12.5% option 2) of which 8% (10% option 2) of the gross rental payable is deducted from the first monthly rental and  2.5% of the rent received deducted each month for the full term of the Tenancy

Renewals after 12 months are charged at 4% and 6% respectively.

Tenant Find & Let plus Rent Collection plus Management

This service is for Landlords who do not wish, or prefer not, to be involved with their Tenants or to be personally responsible for running repairs affecting their property. We make an initial three monthly and then six monthly property inspection to ensure that it is being kept in order. We oversee maintenance and arrange routine repairs on behalf of Landlords. We are the contact for Tenants for any problems and we liase with Landlords and tenants to resolve problems. All costs are deducted from rental income as agreed.

Commission is 13% (15% option 2) of which 8% ( 10% option 2) of the gross rental payable is deducted from the first monthly rental and 5% of the rent received deducted each month for the full term of the tenancy.

Renewals after 12 months are charged at 4% and 6% respectively.

GUARANTEE ....our commissions are at least 10% below the Reigate average, plus you save a further 17.5% because we do not charge VAT. If you find another local agency offering a similar service for a lower commission we will reduce our commission for that service for you, to 95% of the other agency.
